The Plymouth e-Learning Conference is jointly organised by the Faculty of Education and EDaLT (Educational Development and Learning Technologies) at the University of Plymouth. The organising committee includes researchers, teachers and practitioners involved in e-learning and ICT.

Steve Wheeler
Steve is Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) in Learning Technology in the Faculty of Education, where he teaches on a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for teachers. His research interests include the use of Web 2.0 tools in education, distance education, psychological issues of e-learning, creativity and individual differences in learning. Recent publications include a volume entitled ‘The Digital Classroom’, and edited volume entitled ‘Connected Minds, Emerging Cultures’ and journal articles in ALT-J, Computers in Education, Technology Pedagogy and Education, Health Information and Libraries Journal, Learning Media and Technology, British Journal of Educational Technology, and Journal of Computer Assisted Learning. He edits the journal Interactive Learning Environments, and is a regular invited speaker at e-learning events around the world. Steve is a fellow of EDEN and is chair of IFIP Working Group 3.6 on Distance Education. His blog can be found at: Learning with 'e's.
Peter Yeomans (Exhibition Director)
Peter is lecturer in education in the Faculty of Education at the University of Plymouth. A former primary school teacher, he has a keen interest in learning technologies and has recently published work from his research into Web 2.0 tools. Peter will oversee this year's conference exhibition and demonstrations track.
Edd Bolton (Technical Director)
As Learning Technologist for the Faculty of Education Edd is looking for ways to improve the student learning Experience through the use of E-learning tools. Edd's primary goal is to promote the uses of TULIP (Microsoft SharePoint) within the faculty and developing it as a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Edd also has a keen interest in mobile platforms such as the iPhone and android devices.

Dr Neil Witt is currently Head of Technology Enhanced Learning for the University of Plymouth – he is active in research and evaluation in e-learning and among other activities, is a reviewer for JISC.

Dan is an ICT teacher at The Grange School in Christchurch, Dorset. He is keen to develop the use of technology and Web 2.0 tools in the Secondary and FE sectors. He is also a Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre Ambassador, which permits him to cascade train staff to deliver CEOP’s eSafety ‘Thinkuknow’ programme to young people.

Jason Truscott
Jason is a Learning Technologist for the Faculty of Science and Technology. Coming from a background that includes studying chemistry and lecturing in science he is keen on using those experiences to develop ways of applying technology to enhance teaching and learning within the faculty.
Priska Schoenborn
Priska is an Academic Developer who works in Educational Development. Her previous teaching experience, spanning seven years, was as a lecturer in Computing here at the University of Plymouth. Priska is a tutor on the Learning and Teaching in Higher Education Programme. She has a keen interest in Teaching and Learning and in particular in e-learning. Priska is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a National Teaching Fellow.
