Delegates Accessing the Wi-Fi
You will receive a welcome pack when you register for the event on the day that you arrive. Contained within this will be the username and password for connecting to “eduroam” The University’s wireless network.
On this page you will find the technical specifications required to join this network inclusive of setup guides for most operating systems. Click to download the guide(s) that you need. Most of these setup instructions can be completed before your arrival to the conference. for technical support there will be an area located near the registration.
Please ensure that you have administrative privileges on your machine or else you will not be able to complete the instructions.
Technical requirements for connecting to eduroam
By using the ResNet service your computer needs to meet the following technical requirements:
- Your computer will need a working 802.11b/g WiFi certified Network card, capable of WPA-Enterprise encryption. Many computers already have a built-in network adapter but some do not. If you have a new computer, then there is a very good chance you already have this installed. If you are unsure, check your computer’s manual or contact the manufacturer.
- Any computer hardware must meet the minimum system requirements for the operating system as specified by the manufacturer of the operating system.
- All critical updates for your operating system must be installed.
- Up to date anti virus software is installed.
If you do not have an up to date anti virus program you will not be able to join the network.
