The former St Loye's School of Health Studies was incorporated into the University of Plymouth on 1 November 2003 and is now known as Millbrook House. It is part of the School of Health Professions within the Faculty of Health and Social Work. It is one of the oldest and largest centres in Europe for the study of occupational therapy. Founded in 1944 to provide occupational therapy education, it now has over 50 years experience in providing top quality education to occupational therapy students. While Millbrook looks forward to a rich and fulfilling future, the links to History and Early Photographs give a taste of where we have come from.
In response to the Department of Health's "Meeting the Challenge" strategy, in September 2002 St Loye's became a founding member of the Peninsula Collaboration for the modernisation of allied health professionals' education in the south west.
