Printing your information
When your research has located useful information you may wish
to incorporate it within an essay, save it to disk to study at
leisure, or print it out.

To copy selected text into another
program
(You wish to quote in your essay
or are compiling notes)

- Have both your browser and the program open.
- Select the continuous text.
- Click on Edit - Copy
- Switch to the other program and check the cursor is where you
want the text to be placed.
- Click on Edit - Paste.

To save off-line
(You want to study the page(s) at
leisure off-line - perhaps on another computer.)
|
- Click on File - Save
As...
- In the Save in: box select
31/2 Floppy [A:] or an
appropriate folder on your harddrive.
- In the File name: box key
in an appropriate name or use the offered default.
- In the Save As Type: box
select:
Web Page, complete to save
everything as displayed including images, sounds etc. (You will
display this using Internet Explorer) OR
Web page, html only to save
just the text but laid out as on the screen. (You will display this using Internet
Explorer)
OR
Text File to save just the
text without any formatting. You will display this using your word
processor.

To save an image
|
- Point the mouse cursor in the image and right click the
mouse.
- Left click on Save Picture As in
the drop down menu.
- In the Save
in: box select 31/2
Floppy [A:] or an appropriate folder on your
harddrive.
- In the File
name: box key in an appropriate name or use the
offered default.
- Do not change the file type
box.

To print a selection of continuous
text
|
- Highlight the text.
- Click on File -
Print
- In the Print Range box click on Selection.
|

To print an article or selected pages from an
article
|
- Click on File - Print
Preview.
- Scroll through the pages to choose those you wish to
print.
- In the Print Range box click on
All or Pages and enter the page range.
- Click on OK
