Tide tables/access
Check the Tide times as the exposures are tide dependant. Look at the Tide tables in the box in Lab + or check online for the day you are planning to go into the field. You should always be aware of whether the tide is rising or falling while you are working on a coastal section.
You should also be aware that beaches change dramatically with the seasons and after storms, when sand/gravel is redeposited or eroded. As a result when you visit Sandway Cellar beach the outcrops may not appear exactly as shown on this website.
